ambulatory phlebectomy

Conservative vein therapy refers to the use of medical grade compression stockings and lifestyle modifications as a non-invasive method to treat varicose veins. With this option, patients with varicose veins may implement daily walking & exercise, elevation of their legs, avoidance of high heels, and wearing of compression stockings. Historically, both health care providers and insurers have recommended a trial period of conservative vein therapy before proceeding with definitive vein care. Conservative vein therapy is beneficial in reducing varicose vein symptoms and slowing the progression of chronic venous disease. However, conservative vein therapy will neither prevent nor eliminate the condition of varicose veins.
